This book is jointly published with the Electronic Privacy Information Center and Access Reports and is the standard reference work covering all aspects of the Freedom of Information Act, the Privacy Act, the Government in the Sunshine Act, and the Federal Advisory Committee Act. The book draws upon the expertise of practicing attorneys who are recognized leaders in the field, and adheres to the same high standards as previous editions (which were published by the ACLU until 1997) and is intended as a guide for FOIA requesters and plaintiff litigators. Appendices include the text of the relevant acts, and sample pleadings for litigators. For those who litigate open government cases (or need to learn how to litigate them), this is an essential reference manual.
